Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. The information generated by
the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored
by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information on our behalf for the
purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website
operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website
provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Please note that we have extended the program code of Google Analytics on the German website to
include the function “gat._anonymizeip(), so that Google will truncate/anonymise the last octet of the
IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on
the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened
by Google servers in the USA.

We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully

Google reCAPTCHA
We use reCAPTCHA to check for security purposes, in particular to protect our website from abusive
automated crawling and spam. reCAPTCHA assesses whether data provided on our website, for e.g.
in our contact form, has been provided by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA automatically evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the user has

We use Google Web Fonts to ensure a uniform representation of fonts. When you open our website,
your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts
correctly. For this purpose your browser establishes a connection to Google servers transferring your
IP address.
Google Maps
We use Google Maps to facilitate locating places and addresses we specify on our website. To use
Google Maps, it is necessary to process your IP address, which is generally transmitted to a Google
server in the USA and stored there.
c. Vimeo
Our website uses features provided by the Vimeo video portal. This service is provided by Vimeo Inc.,
555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.
If you visit one of our pages featuring a Vimeo plugin, your information is transferred to the Vimeo
servers located in the US. Here the Vimeo server is informed about which of our pages you have
visited. In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to
Vimeo when you visit our website or do not have a Vimeo account. The information is transmitted to a
Vimeo server in the US, where it is stored.

e. YouTube
We have embedded YouTube videos (provided by YouTube LLC) in some of our pages. When you
visit these pages, a connection to YouTube is established. A click on a video then triggers further data
processing processes. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube when you
visit pages that include YouTube videos. YouTube may suggest content based on your previous uses
to you if you are logged in on YouTube when visiting our website and while clicking the YouTube
button on our website.
