Ingredients

500g carrots, peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon butter
2 heaped teaspoons of Siucra light golden brown sugar
Salt & freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Add a couple of teaspoons of sugar to enhance natural sweetness of vegetables and balance out any bitter or acidic flavour they may have. Tomatoes, carrots, butternut squash.

Simmer sliced carrots in boiling water for 4-5 minutes with 1 tablespoon butter plus 2 heaped teaspoons of Siucra light golden brown sugar plus some salt and pepper. Drain and serve.
