Ingredients
For the glass jar
120 g plain flour
2 g salt
60 g cocoa powder
225 g Siúcra Demerara Brown Sugar
130 g Siucra Granulated Sugar
200 g dark chocolate buttons
100 g walnuts
Other ingredients
300 g butter
4 eggs
Instructions
Put the dry ingredients into the glass jar. Start with a layer of flour and salt. Then add a layer of cocoa, dry brown sugar, granulated sugar, chocolate buttons and chopped walnuts.
Put the lid on, decorate with a festive bow and write the recipe on a label. Give as a gift.
Brownie recipe
Set the oven to 175°C using top and bottom heat.
Melt 300 g butter. Add the upper layer of ingredients from the glass jar, the one with the walnuts and chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has melted. Add the remaining ingredients from the jar and stir to make a smooth paste. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time.
Grease a 20x30 cm baking tin and line it with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the tin. Bake in the centre of the oven for about 20-23 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
