Ingredients
600 g black currant (about 1 liter)
2 large pears
1 cinnamon stick
50 ml water
600 g Siucra or McKinney's Sure-Set Jam Sugar
Instructions
Rinse the black currant. Peel and cut the pears into pieces.
Put currant, pears, cinnamon and water in a saucepan and boil about 3 minutes. Add jam sugar and boil additional about 7 minutes.
Remove from the heat and carefully skim off any scum. Pour the jam into a warm, sterilised jar. Seal tightly. Store in a cool place.
